Brenson’s Summer Ricefish Pond adventures

I’m Brenson and purchased several ponds for my backyard and I invite you to join me on this exciting Medaka journey. While I have kept fish in buckets before, I have never exposed them to the great outdoors for an extended period. Despite the sweltering heat, I was able to successfully spawn a variety of stunning fish, including Blue Miyuki Medaka Ricefish, Daisy’s Ricefish, Black/Midnight Medaka Ricefish, and Medaka Koi Ricefish. The Purple Mosaic and Assorted Guppies also made their outdoor debut and thrived in their new environment. As I observed the natural ecosystem at work, I gained a newfound appreciation for nature and its ability to control pests. Although pleased with the results, I am concerned about the presence of dragonfly larvae or leeches in the ponds. I even caught a cat fishing in one of the ponds, so I am careful to minimize light at night to ensure the safety of my fish.
